How to watch Disney+ in a Tesla
Disney+ plays in the Tesla browser after sign-in and is also a Tesla Theater app on supported cars. Good for keeping kids settled at a Supercharger.
Step by step
-
Park the car
Streaming only runs in Park. Shift into Park and keep the car awake, a charging stop is the ideal moment.
-
Open BigScrn in the car browser
Open the in-car web browser and go to bigscrn.com. Bookmark it so it is one tap away next time.
-
Tap Go full screen
On the launcher, tap Go full screen. BigScrn bounces the browser through YouTube, the one site Tesla opens full screen. Tap "Go to site" when it appears and you land back full screen, and the browser stays that way.
-
Launch Disney+ and sign in
Tap Launch on Disney+ and sign in with your account. The browser remembers it, so you only sign in once per car. It opens full screen.
-
Press play
Start a title. It fills the display and audio plays through the car speakers.
Shortcut: On supported cars, Disney+ is also in Tesla Theater (Entertainment, then Theater) so you can skip the browser entirely. The browser route still helps for extra profiles or cars without Theater.
Questions
Does Disney+ work in a Tesla?
Yes. Disney+ runs in the Tesla browser while the car is parked, and it is also a built-in Tesla Theater app on supported cars. Both routes need a sign-in.
Do I need a Disney+ subscription?
Yes. You watch with your own Disney+ account, the same login you use on a phone or TV.
Can I watch Disney+ while driving?
No. Streaming only works in Park, and you should never watch video while the car is moving. BigScrn is for passengers and parked, charging cars.
Where does the Disney+ audio play?
Through the car speakers. Set the volume on the steering-wheel scroll or the on-screen control as you would for music.
Is BigScrn part of Disney+?
No. BigScrn is an independent launcher and setup guide. It is not affiliated with Disney+, Tesla, or any streaming service.
