How to watch YouTube TV in a Tesla

YouTube TV brings live network and cable channels plus cloud DVR to the Tesla browser. It is separate from regular YouTube and needs its own membership.

Launch YouTube TV Browser route

Good to know: Browser only. Requires a YouTube TV membership, separate from YouTube.

Step by step

  1. Park the car

Streaming only runs in Park. Shift into Park and keep the car awake, a charging stop is the ideal moment.

  2. Open BigScrn in the car browser

Open the in-car web browser and go to bigscrn.com. Bookmark it so it is one tap away next time.

  3. Tap Go full screen

On the launcher, tap Go full screen. BigScrn bounces the browser through YouTube, the one site Tesla opens full screen. Tap "Go to site" when it appears and you land back full screen, and the browser stays that way.

  4. Launch YouTube TV and sign in

Tap Launch on YouTube TV and sign in with your account. The browser remembers it, so you only sign in once per car. It opens full screen.

  5. Press play

Start a title. It fills the display and audio plays through the car speakers.
